Delivery time

Due to the nature of highly diversified products in colour, size and configuration as well as relatively low quantities in sales, we can not have all variations available at once. Also, packrafts are individual, handcrafted items, thus being subject to change, which we like to take into account. That being said, we try to figure out to the most requested articles to have them conveniently available.
Delivery time thus will vary on different articles. You can see the period for each product specification in the shop system. Upon order as well as after payment you will receive an email confirmation on final estimated delivery. The following time can be expected:

• For items in stock (spots) delivery time within the European Union and Switzerland takes up to 6 days. However, once the package boat goes into shipping, it has left our control and depends on the logistic partner. We can provide a tracking number upon request. Many things can slow shipping, especially for international orders. If you need a boat by a certain date, the best solution is to order well in advance. Special express delivery can be arranged on request and additional charges.
• For product specifications which are not in stock (see store) delivery time takes 4-6 weeks within the European Union. Mostly this can be fulfilled, but as many boats are constructed on demand the time stated is no guarantee. You will get notification in case of divergence. If you want to make sure delivery to a certain date, we recommend ask beforehand of order.
• Special orders and individual modifications are subject to extended periods. These will be estimated on customer requests.

Payment methods

You can currently pay either with PayPal (including Credit Card) or with an EU standard direct transfer (IBAN). 

If it does not make a difference to you, we prefer the later, due to cost and complexity involved with paypal at our end. 

An EU standard direct transfer is quick, reliable and free of charge at most banks for all of us. In terms of a buyer protection,  we can offer our word and the public appearance in the Packrafting scene, where we have no interest in a bad reputation. So we give the freedom to take action in the unlikely event.

While the transfer is being processed (1-2 days) shipping will be prepared and send right after receiving on our Bank account at Deutsche Skatbank:

Please make payable within 10 days after ordering. Otherwise we will have to cancle the order unfortunately.  


Shipping costs

All boats ship within the European Union (EU) for free. On small orders (below 50 EUR) and we charge the following fees:

Delivery in third countries (beyond the European Union) are subject to net prices for own customs declaration. VAT will be deducted upon providing a shipping address not in the EU. With subject to weight shipping fees are:

 
Warranty issues

The currently offered packrafts from Alpacka rafts and other products are extremely well made and will stand up to the use for which they are designed. Moreover, each product is individually inspected by Packraftig Store. As quality products failure in material and construction are rare.  However,  if there are clear defects in materials or workmanship you as the original owner are entitled to compensating rights by Packrafting Store of up to 24 months by law.  Guarantees of the manufacturer which go beyond (such as 3 years limited warranty of Alpacka Raft LLC) are not affected by that. Warranty issues are always subject to evaluation of the manufacturer and the merchant.
Rips, burns, tears, and damages due to accident, normal wear and tear, improper care, mis-use or the natural breakdown of colours and materials over time are not covered by warranty. This warranty does not apply to products with unauthorized modifications or alterations, or if the product is used for a purpose for which it was not designed. This warranty gives you specific legal rights within the European Union. Other rights which vary from country to country are not covered.
All guarantee claims are subject to supplementary performance that means repaired or replaced free of charge. If that fails, there is the right to withdraw from the buying contract and receive the money back. The claimed item is to be returned. The customer and original owner has to verify his purchase by the original invoice.
Shipping to evaluate the failure is to be covered by the customer and will be refunded on confirmation. Shipping of replaced or repaired items is free of charge.
In any case of a warranty issue, please get in touch beforehand via Email or Telephone.

Exclusions

Spray decks are not covered by the warranty of the manufacturer (Alpacka Raft). Spray decks are deliberately designed to be light-weight at the expense of durability and longevity and may be damaged during the course of normal use.
Use of the boats beyond its designs function can lead to severe damage or exceptional wear-and-tear to the boats. Damage resulting from these activities is not covered by warranty, nor shall Alpacka Raft or Packrafting Store be liable for any personal injury or additional damages resulting from these uses or the resulting damages.



Returns and cancellation

As a customer you have a legal right on 14 days of return and refund for no reason. Upon receiving your purchase, you can inspect the products as it would appear in a physical store. This includes unpacking and trying it out indoors (such as on the carpet) to prove fit and like. If the boat does not meet your expectations, we offer a 14 day 100% refund, as long as the boat has been used only in the fashion described above. This offer is void if the boat has been damaged in any way, including cosmetic damage, by customer use.  Boats must be returned clean, dry, and undamaged.  Wet or dirty boats will be subject to deduction of refund.
To make claim of your return rights you need to state so in Text by Email or letter, in case you have not receive the order, such as change of mind within the first couple days. Otherwise you need to ship the package back. As said above there is no need to state a reason for such. The right to cancel starts upon receiving the order confirmation, the 14 days period upon receiving the shipping. 
Hereby we refer to German law of article 246 § 2 in connection with § 1 Abs. 1 and 2 EGBGB as well as § 312e Abs. 1 Satz 1 BGB in article 246 § 3 EGBGB.

In case of returns and cancellations mutual benefits (payments, interests and goods) are to exchange. Shipping charges are not covered, if the delivered goods are in accordance with the ordered one and if they are in value under 40 € or if you have not fulfilled the payment. The return policy does not apply on Special orders and individual modifications.

Exclusions

Products with customer specification or special orders, which have been delivered on request are not covered in the general return policy.


Data privacy protection

Packrafting often requires individual consultation to make the right choice and meet expectations. In fact, packrafting is an activity highly dependened on information resources. We appreciate the information about you given in this process to fulfil our role of customer support. Likewise we appraise the interest in our information given provide products and services that we think will be important.
However, we take date security serious and will not give your e-mail address to other companies for their marketing.  All information is secure and confidential. The following is how we handle your data.

Collect and use of personal information

You can visit this site without and declarations to your person. There are only that information saved as provided by the Internet service provider (such as IP). Personal data are relevant in the ordering process only to fulfil the service and order. These date needs to be given to the logistic partner and if needed the payment institution. With end of the contract data will be locked and with end of legal and fiscal storage requirement can be deleted.

This website uses Cookies, text files saved on your computer for analysing the usage of the webpage and to ensure certain functions otherwise not available. Most of files are deleted with end of the session. Others will stay to recognise you the next visit. This makes things convenient for re-entering such as your user name

Also, this website uses Google Analytics, a web analysing client by Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics. User Agreement

For offers on timely limited applications  for rental and test purposes the following regulations apply:  

1. The use will be carried out under your full own responsibility including all obligations regarding inspection and information. Any involved risks are to be examined as it would appear on using your own property.

2. It is especially advised to follow the safety, conservation and transportation rules on waterways.

3. Cancellations can be carried out as part of your normal right of revocation, but it ends with shipping respectively 5 days to the start of use.

4. Any damage out of unreasonable use, loss or delayed returns are subject to deduction from the deposit and have to be declared upon return. All items have to be sent back clean.
