Six Moon Flex Pack

Lightweight dry bag hauling system for different loads working with anything between 30-80l. The separation of drybag and harness makes it flexible, waterproof and durable. An advanced carrying system allows substantial loads up to 22kg.

The Flex Pack is a dry bag hauling system, also referred as a 'multipack'. The separation of drybag and harness makes it flexible, reliably waterproof (in contrast to classic back packs) and reasonable (for the time the drybag has worn out, the Flex Pack allows you to exchange just the bag for reasonable costs, rather than being forced into buying an entirely new pack).

The Six Moon Flex Pack can be chosen with different (40/50/60l) or your own (without) dry bag. The included bags all feature a compression valve and are made of sturdy but light PU nylon. Next to the bag other equipment can be stored separately, in particular a packraft with paddle, life jacket or helmet. The system offers various expansion options. You will find the Flex Pack capable of carrying heavy gear while storing away compactly and waterproof (including the harness) once back on the water.

The harness of the pack corresponds to that of the Six Moon Fusion 65 and is thus one of the lightest and structurally most stable harness on the market! It is capable of comfortably carrying significantly more weight than any pack of a similar weight. The advanced structure easily transfers weight to hips, even under significant loads.

The flexibility did it for me on this one! I've been in a dire dilemma between this one and an HMG. In the end, the possibility to easily replace a dry bag when torn, use a different size drybag for different needs, or just put my Adventure X2 packraft along with the paddle in it, is what made me choose this pack frame. And I'm totally happy I did! I've packed it with a 42 litres drybag (both in and outside of the drybag) for weekend exploring on foot, as well as with my Adventure X2 packraft and paddle for my bikepacking trip in Scotland last year. I could even add the groceries of the day on top. The Secumar Vivo "life vest" was easy to attach on the front with the included straps. I could even have had some more straps on the bottom on the pack frame as these straps were included as well. But I didn't need them for the bikepacking trip.

Currently it's my packraft pack to take my stuff with me for day-long packrafting. No need to open a pack and pull stuff out. Just open the clips and the packraft is already out there. Same for packing out again: just put the roll of my packraft on the fabric, clip around and on top and tighten the straps. No fiddling with a pack.

I've found out that the hip pockets are perfectly sized. Not small ones, as I've read about other brands of packs. These fit my GPSMap 66s, or chain lubricant for my bike, or toilet paper (an adventurer's white gold), or energy bars, etc etc. Same for the shoulder strap pockets: they're very handy!

I'm afraid I'll leave my big old Lowe Alpine backpack in the closet...
