Application and features
With its spraydeck concept and basic shape based on a whitewater kayak, the Mini Shark is exceptionally well suited for whitewater. However, thanks to its centered seating position and compact hull, the Mini Shark also cuts a fine figure on calm water - whether on solo tours or even on trips in a group with hard-shell boats.
The excellent running characteristics and good buoyancy also offer the possibility of whitewater trips.

Shape and construction
The Mini Shark has a streamlined hull and a slightly upward curved bow, which makes it easier to pass through waves and rollers and also improves the packraft's maneuverability in white water. The tube is narrower than on comparable models, which makes it easier to re-enter and self-rescue after capsizing. In addition, the low center of gravity of the seat supports balance in white water and more than compensates for the slightly detrimental effects of the narrow tubes on stability.
The centrally positioned seat with symmetrical bow and stern is modeled on a classic kayak and its handling characteristics. The Mini Shark is part of the MRS Streamline^SL range.

Spraydeck
The spraydeck can be opened at the stern up to the height of the hatch with a zipper.This allows luggage to be conveniently stowed in the rear. The coaming and the sprayskirt are removable.
When closed, the spraydeck is as watertight as conventional whitewater decks. As a paddler, you are well protected in the most adverse conditions such as heavy rain, cold, crashing waves and splashing water.

Special features and equipment

The Mini-Shark is equipped with a comfort backrest that ensures support for the lumbar spine even on long paddling stretches. The backrest is variably adjustable via several fixed points.
The Packraft has an integrated bracket (fitting/soft mount) for attaching a removable fin/skeg, which ensures increased directional stability and speed. A fin is included in the scope of delivery.
The Mini Shark is equipped with 5P thigh straps and the necessary fittings. If you like sporty riding or are planning to use it in white water, you are very well prepared.

Note
For good performance on the water, it is particularly important to ensure that the air pressure in the hoses is firm (especially in cold water).The hull of the Mini Shark should therefore be inflated to approx. 3 psi (approx. 0.2 bar).The higher air pressure compared to other packrafts is absolutely necessary due to the narrow hose design. This gives the hull sufficient torsional rigidity in white water and significantly improves boat control.We recommend the use of a hand pump.

Material and repair
The excellent adhesion of the coating and the exceptional tear resistance of the fabric of the MRS Mini Shark make the boat extremely durable.The smooth, shiny surface is extremely scratch-resistant. The bond between the tubes is very reliable and even exceeds the strength of the material. It is UV- and ageing-resistant as well as cold-elastic.
In the (unlikely) event of a repair, we recommend the Anfibio LifePatch repair kit, a special tape for quick repairs on the go. Small perforations can also be treated with small amounts of Aquasure (liquid PU).
If larger damage occurs, it can be repaired at home or in our workshop using replacement material and contact adhesive.

Development and production
The series production in the Far East is carried out in small, hand-made batches (manufacturing method). All products have an extended warranty of three years.
