Flexible frame-less carrying System
The frameless construction is the core feature of the FlexCore 70: the necessary rigidity is achieved by compressing the luggage using compression straps. This ensures a surprisingly high level of comfort – even when the backpack is only partially loaded. The result: a stable fit, optimal load distribution, and maximum freedom of movement. To carry a frameless backpack comfortably, it’s crucial to pack it correctly. Here’s how to do it.
Volume as needed
With a volume of approximately 70 liters that can be compressed to about 40 liters, the FlexCore 70 is extremely versatile. Whether it’s a multi-day trip with all your gear or a minimalist day hike - this backpack is suitable for a wide range of uses.
Robust, waterproof, and lightweight
Made from durable, TPU-coated nylon (210D/420D), the backpack is not only exceptionally durable but also completely waterproof. The proven roll-top closure reliably protects your belongings from moisture. Despite its sturdiness, the FlexCore 70 weighs only about 1,000 g - ideal for weight-conscious adventurers.
Custom fit
The carrying system, featuring padded hip and shoulder straps, is available in four different back lengths, allowing for optimal adjustment to different body sizes. This ensures a high level of comfort even on longer hikes.

Size selection
Choose the right size based on your back length. Measure from the base of your neck to your hip bone. If you fall between sizes, it’s best to choose the larger size.
The table also lists height as a reference, but the measured back length is the deciding factor, not your height.

Quick Guide: Pack properly and carry comfortably
First, when packing, open the compression straps to allow easy access to the interior.
If you’re bringing a packraft, pack it directly against the back panel - it gives the backpack a stable structure. Alternatively, you can use another flat item or a sleeping pad. While the FlexCore 70 is large enough to hold a collapsible paddle, it shouldn’t be packed directly against your back. Stowed further inside or slightly to the side, it prevents pressure points on your back.
Fill any empty spaces with soft items like a sleeping bag or clothing to keep everything from shifting inside. Camping gear that isn’t needed during the day goes at the bottom. Items you’ll want within easy reach while on the move (e.g., rain jacket, snacks, or water) should be packed at the top or on the outside.
Once everything is stowed, close the roll-top closure. Be sure to avoid creases so it closes tightly, and squeeze out excess air before rolling it up. Then tighten the compression straps evenly without deforming the contents. This gives the FlexCore 70 a compact shape and keeps everything securely in place.
In short: structure on the back, weight close to the body, and padding in the empty spaces.
