Please note: all course content is taught in German only. A basic knowledge of understanding German is recommended for participation in the course.
The one-day packrafting adventure tour on the Saale between Thuringia and Saxony-Anhalt combines a basic packrafting course with a wonderfully beautiful nature experience.
Schedule
The day begins with a welcome round and a brief introduction to packrafting. After packing our backpacks, we will embark on an eight-kilometre-long, relaxed and wildly romantic hike along small paths and rolling hills, past vineyards to the launch point for the boats.
After lunch, we assemble the packrafts together and start our river trip through the jungle of the Saale. Passing impressive rock formations and picturesque castles, the Saale flows through a surprisingly wild landscape that you would not expect to find in central Germany. To prepare you for future packrafting trips, the trip is rounded off with short practice sessions on specific paddling techniques. Once we reach our destination, we reassemble the packrafts and end the day together.
Organiser
The Saale Packrafting Day Tour is a joint project with our long-standing partner Land Water Adventures (LWA). The course is led and run by experienced guides from Land Water Adventures, who have many years of experience in expeditions and whitewater tours with packrafts and paddles in their backpacks.

Packraft and accessory rental
You can use your own single packraft for the course or rent an Anfibio packraft (paddle and life jacket included).
In addition to the selected packraft, the rental package includes the following accessories:

If the minimum number of participants is not reached ten days before the course, we will automatically cancel the course and refund the full course fee.
