The Anfibio PackSeat is an alternative seat equipment for Anfibio Packraft models or within the standard scope of delivery (for example with the Anfibio Sigma TXV). Hereby it can be purchased separately, as a replacement or in addition! It also fits to a lot of other packrafts and boat types. Please check the boat's inner width for compatibility before a purchase.
In its base configuration the Anfibio WideSeat is the same as the Anfibio PackSeat (material, mounting, construction) - it has the closed surface and the fully integrated backrest, which offers extra comfort.
However, the WideSeat is mainly characterised by its extra width and height.
It fits tighter in the boat (depending on model) and offers a higher sitting position, which generates a more upright (paddle)position and better overview as well as advanced boat control (leverage effect and edging). It makes paddling pleasantly controlled and less tiring, especially on long distances, e.g. when fishing and on fast flowing rivers.
Use
The seat features a central ladderlock to secure it with a strap (standard in Anfibio models, to be mounted in other models). The seat also fits in any other packraft and boat types, becauseit does not necessarily have to be fixed.
Most users prefer the flat and closed seat surface as more comfortable (e.g. in contrast to the horseshoe shape). It even can function as a fine camp seat or a pillow.
With a weight of 295g the Anfibio WideSeat is of course still backpack compatible, but it is not the lightest version. Lighter alternatives are the Anfibio PackSeat or the Anfibio PackSeat light.
