The Hiko Mikmaq is a whitewater worthy PFD/lifejacket made of solid foam, which sits comfortably at the same time due to its low-cut shape and thus offers a large range of movement when paddling. The PFD is specially designed for whitewater paddling and offers a correspondingly high buoyancy. The flat-cut front is particularly advantageous for kayakers and packrafters.
The neoprene-padded shoulder straps can withstand a high tensile load. This is important for rescue situations, such as hauling out trapped swimmers or dragging unconscious paddlers to safety. Together with the padding on the back for impact protection and the 55/70N buoyancy, this makes the PFD suitable for whitewater.
The low profile and full impact protection on the lower back as well as the easily adjustable shoulder and side straps make the Miriquidi a genuine whitewater PFD and keeps the jacket securely in place as you move (correct size provided). This design allows the PFD to fit all body types. The zippered opening at the front makes it quick and easy to put on and take off. A large front pocket offers additional storage space on the body. Additional safety is provided by the Miriquidi's reflective elements as well as its colour scheme, if applicable (warning colour: blue/orange).

The Hiko Mikmaq does not include a quick-release harness with a panic buckle for active rescues (leashed lifeguard etc.). For group guiding operations we recommend the Hiko Cinch harness or Palm FXr.
We recommend lower sizing for better fit.
