Anfibio Delta MX, an ultralight packraft for bikerafting

Lightweight and multifunctional
The Anfibio Delta MX is one of the lightest packrafts with extra space in a robust design. Ideal for longer passages on easy flowing waters with a lot of luggage or for carrying a bike and children.

MX stands for MultiCross, as the packraft offers enough space for a wide range of applications. The boat has 6 attachment points (2 at the stern and 4 at the bow) for attaching luggage, grab lines or a DeckPack, for example. 6 additional attachment points (4 grab loops with ladder buckles and 2 strap plates) are available for attaching and adjusting a backrest.

Design and seating configurations

By allowing the seat to be easily moved forwards, the raft’s balance point is moved, giving handling characteristics closer to those of a conventional kayak. This enables customisation to suit paddlers of different sizes while also providing storage space behind the seat. The backrest can be fastened tightly forward and offers optimum support for the lumbar spine. This ensures a high level of comfort, even over long distances.

The rear most seat position is particularly suitable when travelling with small children, dogs or a lot of luggage. If you only paddle in the rear most position, you can also choose the separately available seat with backrest (Anfibio WideSeat).

DeckReady Option

The Delta MX is also available as a “DeckReady” version. This version has a side daisy chain for attaching the optional available UniDeck spray deck. This version has a circumferential daisy chain for attaching the UniDeck spray deck - ideal for tours in windy conditions, waves, cool temperatures, and light whitewater. It is available in two versions: for the center or rear seating position. The UniDeck can be easily mounted on the packraft and just as easily removed again.

UniMat Option
An optional inflatable floor mat is available for the Delta MX. It stiffens the floor, insulates against cold and wet conditions and raises the seating position. This improves paddling comfort.. If the additional weight is not a problem, it is highly recommended.

Material and workmanship

The Anfibio Delta MX is made of special fabric (210/420 urethane nylon), which has a high tear and abrasion resistance despite its low weight. The smooth and shiny surface of the tubes coating are particularly scratch resistant.

All the boat’s seams are fully welded and the tube seams are additionally sewn, making it a completely glue free construction. This saves weight, costs and the enviroment! We grant an extended 3-year warranty on materials and workmanship.

Application

Thanks to its low weight, the Delta MX is another ''always-on'' boat among backpacking boats. Thanks to its large interior, it is particularly suitable for transporting a little more luggage, a child or a bicycle in the boat. Dog owners, fishing enthusiasts and very tall people (XL) will also be delighted. Thanks to the variable seating position and the resulting optimised water position and good boat control, even longer passages can be paddled comfortably. For very short distances (e.g. river crossings), there is also room for two adults with normal luggage in the boat. It is particularly suitable for:

Easy river travel
Bikerafting (paddles and pedals)
Classic packrafting tours (combined tours on land and water)
Traveling with children or dogs
Trekking with crossing rivers (also for two on short distances)
Expeditions and adventure races
Spelunking and canyoneering
Mountain lake fishing
Geocaching
Sailing (dinghy)

Since the model does not feature a spray skirt and has a smaller tube diameter, it is not recommended for white water (max. class 1).

Use

The boat is paddled kayak style and is inflated with a big nylon inflation bag, which attaches to the boat via a screw-in valve.

No inflatable is indestructible of course, but in the (unlikely) event of sustaining damage, repairs can be done within a few minutes in the field with Patch`n Go, which bonds permanently to the urethane surface. Small pinholes can be sealed with Aquasure, a liquid urethane sealant.

Eigentlich wollte ich nur 4 Sterne geben da der mitgelieferte Pumpsack nicht Luftdicht ist und damit das aufpumpen wirklich ein Krampf ist. Allerdings bin ich so von dem Boot und dem Service in Sachen schneller Versand begeistert das ich dies für unfair hielt deshalb einen Stern abzuziehen. Ich werde nur nach einem anderen pumpsack Ausschau halten müssen da es so fast unmöglich ist das Boot aufzupumpen. Jetzt aber mal zu meinem Highlight. Das Gewicht und das packmass sind einfach nur geil. Das ist wirklich mal ein Boot auch für spontane Wasserwanderungen und nimmt kaum mehr Platz weg als eine Exped downmat 9 im Gepäck.
